Update
March 2002
We were able to resume our meetings in September after the miseries of the Foot and Mouth disaster. In November we had a delightful lady who showed us how to make funky felt hats. The demonstration was clear and straightforward making several of us feel we had to get home and try that. We brought our first attempts to the next meeting, holes and mistakes notwithstanding, but determined to try again and do better. Great fun, the same procedure works for making teacosies, bags or cushion covers. Just before Christmas
there was a display of some of our work in the Berrynarbor Manor Hall on
the occasion of a party welcoming newcomers to the village. Our little
Christmas party was as usual accompanied by a slide show of Kathys
latest trip, which was to North West Canada.
This year we celebrate
our 21st Birthday. In
the early summer we will have our Rainbow Day trying out natural plant
dyeing, and a felting demonstration. In the autumn we hope to go to the
Willow growing Farm near Taunton.
